SISTERS UNCUT DIRECT ACTION outside HOLLOWAY

- 46% of women in prisons are survivors of domestic violence.

- 81% of women in prisons are there for non-violent offences.

- Women in custody are 5 times more likely to have a mental health concern than women in the general population.

Prisons are an inhumane and unnecessary response to the problems faced by vulnerable women.

People with mental health needs, working class, trans and non-binary folk as well as people of colour are disproportionately incarcerated and subject to violence while inside.

This is why Sisters Uncut will be taking action outside Holloway Prison. We stand in solidarity with all Sisters caged in all detention facilities around the world. We stand in solidarity with everyone resisting state violence. We stand in solidarity with the Sarah Reed Campaign for Justice.
